Training in the safety of journalists portends its relevance in the future
Two-day training, which took place in Osh, was devoted to the safety of journalists. On February 7-8, 2015, the Public Broadcasting Company "Yntymak" conducted a training on "The safety of journalists during rallies and in everyday life". About twenty employees of the ORTRK "Yntymak" and "Osh Pirim" TV channels took part in the event. Trainers are well-known journalists Aizatbek Beshov and Aida Kasymalieva, who previously worked for the BBC Russian Service and Radio Azattyk. They shared their extensive experience on how to carry out their work during rallies and public protests. According to the participants of the training, the relevance of this issue is indisputable.
For me, the training was very useful. Because despite the fact that I have been in this profession for 3 years, but still did not know how the journalist should behave during rallies and pickets. It was difficult for me to interview an aggressive person. Thanks to the training, I and my colleagues have learned useful advice and experience for ourselves. I express my gratitude to Internews for conducting excellent training to Aizat Beshov and Aide Kasymalieva, - Darya Shermatova, journalist of "ORTRK Yntymak ", shared her opinion.Rano Enazarova agrees with theopinion above. Although she now only translates the work of her colleagues at work, but she believes that in the near future she will already be doing reports herself.
I really liked the training. A lot of the submitted information turned out to be useful to me. Let now I do not write stories, but I think in the future, the knowledge and experience that we received from this training will help to protect me and my operator, - hopes Rano Enazarova
