Umtuluu Contest

Internews is holding a national competition in the field of professional journalism in Kyrgyzstan, “Umtuluu” (“Aspiration”).

The purpose of the competition is to encourage the professionalism of the country’s media companies, and journalists who are aware of their civic and professional responsibility to the audience and society, as well as the development of the modern information sphere of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The competition aims to stimulate public debate on important but difficult-to-interpret topics and questions that do not always have ready answers.
