The first AIYM art festival in the Metauniverse opened in Bishkek on the site of the Asia Mall shopping center.
This big event was organized by the WeinCrypto DAO community as part of “16 Days of Activism against Women and Girls violence” global campaign. It was with the support of the USAID-funded Media-K Internews project in Kyrgyzstan and Asia Mall sponsorship.
The AIYM Art Festival will run from November 29 to December 3, 2023, online in the space of the metauniverse Spatial.io and at the same time offline in the Asia Mall shopping center.
At the opening of the festival, Nazik Chekirova, Director of Internews Kyrgyzstan, highlighted the uniqueness of the event, while it exhibits the works of local female artists and painters, where each work embodies the personal experience of the author and serves an influential mission.
“Your voices will be heard not only in Kyrgyzstan but all over the world,” she noted.
The word “ayim” in the Kyrgyz language means a form of respectful treatment of women, the art festival reflects this concept and encourages female artists and painters, as well as guests and participants, to rethink the roles and images of women in modern society.
As part of the art festival, female artists and painters display their artwork as a reflection and exploration of new images of women based on their personal experiences.
Authors of contemporary graphic and digital content invite viewers to dialog, creating art in co-creation with technology.
Digital and conventional paintings and graphics, videos, installations, as well as works created using neural networks will be presented in the NFT (non-fungible token) format.
Each work is a living personal experience embedded in a shared socio-cultural context.
AIYM Art Festival will be held both offline and online at the same time.
At the exhibition in the shopping center, the artist Erkinai Taalaibekova presented a series of paintings “Zharkyra”.
Each work extols the uniqueness and potential of a woman, emphasizing a light inside that can illuminate her path and inspire others.
According to Tatiana Zelenskaya, the curator of the exhibition, artist, AI technologies help even beginners to create emotionally strong and subtle paintings.
