Internews has been developing data journalism in Kyrgyzstan for six years as part of the Media-K project with the support of USAID in the Kyrgyz Republic.
During this time, the data fellows have published over a hundred data-based materials and dozens of works have received international recognition. A strong and aggressive data community has formed in the country and some graduates have become trainers and winners of the Sigma Awards, one of the world’s main data journalism awards.
