Internews in Kyrgyzstan will support the best applications from media editors, creative associations, production studios for television program creation – author’s programs, interviews, news shows, talk shows, TV magazines and digests, cycles of documentaries and special reports, etc.
Duration of the program: from July 2024 to June 2025 (including the period of placement/rental of content, which must be at least 3 months).
Programs can be in any genre: analytical, informational, journalistic, educational, entertainment, etc.
We welcome a variety of topics that should reflect the main theme of the content program: global climate change.
Programs in the Kyrgyz language have an advantage.
Applications can contain both new ideas and proposals for restarting pre-existing programs.
Requirements for applications:
– a detailed description of the concept of the program, the language and method of broadcasting (TV channel and/or YouTube channel), the duration and frequency of releases, the total number of episodes in the pilot period;
– an indication of your own experience in the production of the proposed programs or examples of existing programs taken as a model, subject to original processing and adaptation (franchise or partnership agreements with the copyright holders of existing programs are welcome);
– an indication of their contribution to the production of the program: the presence of a studio or the possibility of renting it, filming and technical equipment;
– Indication of specific opportunities for rapid and/or further monetization of the program;
– Calendar plan for the implementation of the program;
– the approximate project’s budget, which should not exceed 20 thousand US dollars. Internews reserves the right to revise the budget (both downward and upward).
We expect that Internews partners in Kyrgyzstan will be able to create bright, relevant, socially significant programs that attract a large audience, as well as regular advertisers and information partners.
We are particularly interested in teams that harmoniously combine the strong experience of classic television with new competencies in Internet broadcasting and video production.
Training will be organized for the teams selected for the project and international expert support will be provided in the process of creating content.
Online applications can be filled out here.
The deadline for applying is 18.00 hours on May 31.
For potential applicants, an information meeting will be held on the Zoom platform on May 13, 2024 at 15.00 Bishkek time.
