Mission

The mission of Internews Kyrgyzstan is the development of free, high—quality and objective journalism, which can timely and impartially inform the local population about what is happening in the country and beyond.

We support both independent news sites and regional radio stations, as well as the production of socially significant content in the format of series for a wide country audience.

We help improve media infrastructure, tools for creating and disseminating information and promote media literacy among producers and audiences. We care about how people access, trust, receive, share and value information.

In our new strategy, we identify seven key elements:
